Crossbeam delivers market-leading Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 in conjunction with other best-of-breed security solutions at up to 8 GbpsConcord, Mass.-May 20, 2002 - Crossbeam Systems, Inc., today announced that Check Point Software Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHKP) has awarded the Crossbeam X40S open security appliance "Secured by Check Point" certification. This certification comes after rigorous testing of Crossbeam's X40S open security appliance running Check Point's worldwide market-leading VPN-1®/FireWall-1® Next Generation software. The Crossbeam X40S delivers both VPN and firewall security from a single, high-availability device at up to 8 Gbps in tandem with other best-of-breed security applications, such as the award-winning Dragon intrusion detection system (IDS) software from Enterasys Networks. "We are pleased to see Crossbeam receive the 'Secured by Check Point' certification," said Asheem Chandna, vice president of business development and product management for Check Point Software Technologies. "The Crossbeam X40S integrating Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 delivers a high-performance, scaleable solution for enterprise and service provider data centers."
