Log-On Software's SQL-Guard Achieves OPSEC Certification from Check Point Software

Log-On Software's SQL-Guard 2.0 Integrates with Industry's Most Recognized Security Framework

March 19, Ramat Gan, Israel: Log-On Software, a leading provider of database and security software solutions, today announced that it has achieved OPSEC™ (Open Platform for Security) certification for SQL-Guard 2.0, from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. Through OPSEC certification, SQL-Guard 2.0 integrates with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1®/FireWall-1® software providing customers with enhanced protection to back-end databases.

Leveraging Check Point's OPSEC framework, SQL-Guard is the first software solution to implement an additional security layer for the increased protection of valuable information in back-office databases. Log-On's innovative solution proactively blocks unauthorized SQL requests from reaching databases - one of the most simple and common routes employed by hackers, thieves and others who would compromise organizations' highly sensitive data.

"We are delighted that SQL-Guard has received OPSEC certification," said Amnon Keynan, head of the SQL-Guard Business Unit at Log-On Software. "By confirming SQL-Guard integration with Check Point's solutions, customers can now enhance their security architecture with SQL-Guard - allowing them to safely open their database to a wealth of e-business and Intranet opportunities."

"We are pleased to see Log-On Software's SQL-Guard achieve OPSEC certification," said Upesh Patel, manager of the OPSEC Alliance for Check Point Software. "The integration of SQL-Guard with Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 offers customers a unique way to ensure database queries are safe before they reach the back-end database."

About SQL-Guard 2.0 Fully compliant with the OPSEC CVP protocol standards, SQL-Guard is the firstsecurity solution to expand content filtering into the domain of database servers' access control, by parsing the Net8 and Oracle SQL. Already commonly deployed for Internet communications protocols such as HTTP and SMTP, SQL-Guard's advanced content filtering technology has extended its proven security advantages into the realm of database access protocols. As a result, SQL-Guard allows customers' security systems to differentiate between the access level of internal users and of outsiders. By tightly monitoring and managing external database activities, SQL-Guard fulfills the critical task of protecting organizations' security sensitive databases from being manipulated or hacked.

SQL-Guard 2.0.1 supports FireWall-1 V4 on Windows and Oracle 8i.
