Latest RainWall Software Integrates with Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 to Provide High Availability and Load Balancing Software Security Solution

SAN JOSE, Calif., September 16, 2002 - Rainfinity, the leading provider of high availability software for networked resources, today announced the latest version of RainWall has achieved OPSEC™(Open Platform for Security) certification on the Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. Next Generation (NG) Internet security platform. Currently available, RainWall 3.0 is a high availability and load balancing software solution for firewalls and VPN gateways. In order to achieve the OPSEC certification, RainWall endured stringent laboratory testing and successfully proved its ability to interoperate and integrate seamlessly with Check Point's industry-leading VPN-1®/FireWall-1® in a four-node clustered environment.

RainWall 3.0 now supports prioritized fail-over to an alternate site on the same subnet in the event of a local firewall cluster failure to ensure business continuity. RainWall's new web-based management console automatically propagates configuration information to all nodes in the cluster, providing simple administration and ease of use. Finally, RainWall 3.0 has been enhanced to interoperate with dynamic routing protocols and gigabit VLAN environments.

RainWall's software-only solution can install directly on existing servers and firewalls to deliver optimal price performance, dynamic load balancing, linear scalability and ease of administration.
