Celestix Delivers Anti-Virus and Content Filtering for Small Businesses viaNew Security Management Portal

Fremont, CA - (April 7, 2003) --Celestix Networks, Inc., the premier developer of ready-to-deploy security appliances, today announced the launch of its new Security Management Portal (SMP) that delivers Anti-Virus and Content Filtering services for small businesses. With SMP, companies running Celestix' FV100 Safe@Home™ or FV100 Safe@Office™ security appliance can now subscribe to receive Anti-Virus and Content Filtering direct from Celestix to further protect their networks. Celestix' new offering is based on SMP technology from Check Point™ Software Technologies (Nasdaq:CHKP), the worldwide market-leader in Internet security.

"Anti-Virus and Content Filtering are indispensable elements of a comprehensive security infrastructure," said Yong Thye Lin, president, Celestix Networks "SMP enables our resellers to deliver these essential solutions to small businesses seamlessly, continuously and transparently, for a full-service Internet security experience."

Celestix SMP highlights include:

  • Quick and easy delivery of security services for the small business
  • User-friendly, web-based interface increases efficiency and reduces training costs
  • Designed to expand to deliver new services in the future

This robust array of services delivered by the SMP is specifically designed for customers using the Celestix FV100 appliance. A "Secured by Check Point" appliance, the Celestix FV100 runs Check Point Safe@Home or Safe@Office software, both based on Check Point's market-leading VPN-1®/FireWall-1® solution. FV100 Safe@ appliances protect multiple PCs and other non-PC Internet-enabled devices from a single gateway. Safe@ and SMP technology were developed by SofaWare Technologies, a Check Point company.

"There is no doubt that small businesses are just as vulnerable as very large companies when it comes to Internet security threats, however, most don't have the in-house expertise to address them," said Shelley Wilson, director, solutions marketing, Check Point Software Technologies. "Celestix' new SMP offerings, coupled with the FV100 Safe@ appliance, enables small businesses to secure themselves with the same comprehensive security solutions used by many of the Fortune 500 without the complexity and at a fraction of the cost."
