Crossbeam Systems C30 Security Services Switch Receives "Secured by Check Point" Certification from Check Point Software's OPSEC Alliance

Extends Seamless Integration with Check Point's Internet Security Platform to Entire Crossbeam Product Line

CONCORD, MASS.-October 6, 2003-Crossbeam Systems®, Inc., a leading global developer of total security solutions required for safer, simpler networks, today announced that the C30™ security services switch received OPSEC™ "Secured by Check Point" certification from Check Point Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. This complements Crossbeam's flagship X40® security service switch, which received "Secured by Check Point" certification in March, 2002.

OPSEC "Secured by Check Point" certification denotes that the C30 has been formally tested and verified to interoperate with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1/FireWall-1 NG FP3 and NG with Application Intelligence software, that secures nine of the top 10 Fortune 500 companies.

The Crossbeam C30 has been generally available since May 2003, with pricing starting at $24,000. Check Point software is available at an additional cost.
