McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 7.1 Integrates with Check Point VPN-1 SecureClient To Offer Added Protection From Malicious CodeSANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 20 - Network Associates, Inc. (NYSE: NET - News), the leading provider of intrusion prevention solutions, today announced that McAfee® VirusScan® Enterprise 7.1 has passed OPSEC (Open Platform for Security) certification to provide seamless integration with Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP - News) VPN-1® SecureClient, its centrally-managed personal firewall. McAfee VirusScan Enterprise users running Check Point VPN-1 will now have the ability to perform Check Point Secure Configuration Verification (SCV) checks, a feature that helps to ensure that only securely configured systems are connected to the corporate virtual private network (VPN). This feature will provide medium to large businesses with greater control over their environment and enhanced protection against viruses, worms and Trojans.
