RSA Security Two-Factor Authentication Achieves OPSEC Certification from Check Point Software

RSA Security and Check Point Solutions Designed to Interoperate to Provide Strong Two-Factor Authentication

(Nasdaq: RSAS - News), the most trusted name in e-security®, today announced that it has achieved OPSEC(TM) (Open Platform for Security) certification for its RSA ACE/Server® 5.0 two-factor authentication software from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP - News), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. Through OPSEC certification, RSA Security's market-leading two-factor authentication software has been tested to integrate with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1®/FireWall-1® Next Generation(TM) (NG) security solutions.

In addition, Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 Next Generation has also achieved "RSA Secured® RSA SecurID® Ready" certification, to successfully maintain native RSA SecurID software support through tight product integration. The cross certification signifies an enhanced commitment between the two companies to deliver interoperable, robust security solutions to mutual customers.

The RSA SecurID system is the world's leading two-factor user authentication solution. Used in conjunction with RSA ACE/Server software, an RSA SecurID authenticator is designed to function like an ATM card for the network, requiring users to identify themselves with two unique factors - something they know and something they have - before they are granted access. Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 solutions are designed to support RSA SecurID authentication natively. This out-of-the-box support is designed to allow customers to easily deploy RSA SecurID authentication within their VPN and firewall configurations, helping to enhance overall security and performance.
