Synartra's Trusted Global Security Manager Achieves OPSEC Certification from Check Point Software

Synartra Management Solution Seamlessly Integrates with Check Point's Market Leading Security Management Architecture

Synartra™ announced today that it has achieved OPSEC™ (Open Platform for Security) certification from Check Point™ Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet. Synartra Trusted Global Security Manager (TGSM) has been certified to seamlessly integrate with Check Point's VPN-1®/FireWall-1® Next Generation™ security platform including the market-leading Check Point Security Management Architecture (SMART™). TGSM® reduces the risk, effort, and time of translating business security policies into configurations for multi-vendor VPN and firewalls. By implementing Synartra TGSM®, organizations will be able to centrally and uniformly manage site-to-site multi-vendor VPNs.

TGSM integrates with and complements Check Point SMART, enabling network security administrators to manage network-wide security policies, using high-level business visual tools. These global policies are automatically translated into Check Point-specific configurations and distributed to the Check Point SmartCenter Proä, via OPSEC interfaces.

"We are delighted to be members of the industry's premier open, multi-vendor security framework and to have gained OPSEC certification for TGSM," stated Michael Sharples, Operations Director for Synartra Ltd. "Synartra's TGSM seamlessly integrates with Check Point's VPN-1/FireWall-1 to provide organizations with tools to efficiently manage their multi-vendor Internet security solutions. OPSEC Certification is a substantial step forward in Synartra's strategy, and we are thrilled to be working with the security industry leader - Check Point."

"Synartra's TGSM OPSEC Certification and integration with our market-leading solutions clearly demonstrates the strength, depth and openness OPSEC provides," said Upesh Patel, group manager of the OPSEC Alliance for Check Point Software Technologies. "Customers reap the benefits of this close integration and interoperability easing their overall management and administration costs."

TGSM's unified network security meta-management capabilities enable businesses to reduce the need to manage network security gateways on a device-by-device, vendor-by-vendor, and location-by-location basis. In addition to protecting network security investments, organizations benefit from enhanced security through the simplified process of uniformly applying business relevant security policies while also reducing the time, effort and specialized skills required to administer such security policies.
