AirTight Networks™, Inc, the leader in wireless perimeter security announced today that the recently released version 4.3 of its SpectraGuard® Enterprise wireless IPS has achieved OPSEC™ (Open Platform for Security) certification from Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet.

OPSEC certification ensures that SpectraGuard Enterprise 4.3 seamlessly integrates with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1® Pro™ NGX™, providing Check Point customers with an integrated wireless perimeter security solution that complements their wired perimeter security solutions. This integration will allow enterprises to get alerts, track events, and manage wireless threats using Check Point's SMARTTM and Eventia Analyzer™ security management tools.

"The proliferation of wireless technologies creates a new spectrum of perimeter security threats to the enterprise," said Amir Ben-Efraim, director of business development for Check Point Software Technologies. "The OPSEC certified integration between SpectraGuard Enterprise 4.3 and Check Point's VPN-1 Pro provides an innovative and proactive security solution to protect our mutual customers from the risks created by wireless technologies."

SpectraGuard Enterprise is built on AirTight's patent-pending 3 x 3 security model. 3x3 security means that the system:

- performs the 3 keys of wireless security -

  • detects & classifies threats quickly and accurately
  • prevents threats automatically
  • locates threats accurately and immediately

- using 3 security classification engines

  • positive, stateful device & network awareness
  • signature based analysis
  • behavioral based analys

This 3 x 3 security model allows AirTight's SpectraGuard products to deliver true enterprise class threat prevention, while not inundating the administrator with false alarms or spurious data.

"We're delighted to gain OPSEC certification and to partner with Check Point - as they are a recognized leader in the Internet security market," said David Canavan, vice president of business development for AirTight Networks. "With the OPSEC certification of SpectraGuard Enterprise, customers are assured of a robust best-of-breed wireless security solution from AirTight and Check Point."

In addition to SpectraGuard Enterprise achieving OPSEC certification, Check Point has also become a member of the AirTight's partner program. The integration leverages AirTight APIs to communicate with Check Point's OPSEC interfaces for integrating the two systems.
