Pointsec appoints Sandeep Joshi as Australian Managing Director

Sydney, Australia – August 3, 2006 - Pointsec, the global leader and de facto standard for security software for desktop PCs, laptops, PDAs and smartphones, today announced that Sandeep Joshi has been appointed to the role of Managing Director for its Australian operations.

Mr Joshi has over 15 years experience in technology with focus on the security industry, and joins Pointsec from his former role as Director of Sales at document integrity specialist, Workshare.

Peter Larsson, CEO of Pointsec, says Mr Joshi's strong experience in the security and technology industries as well as channel experience will further extend Pointsec's market presence in Australia.

Prior to Workshare, Mr Joshi worked with other leading Information Technology and Security companies including Sophos as Partner Manager, Australia New Zealand. In this role he was responsible for sales and marketing strategy across Australia and New Zealand. Mr Joshi also held the role of Business Development Manager at Trend Micro focusing on the enterprise division, as well as senior business development roles with Mimesweeper/Clearswift.

Mr Joshi"s predecessor, Oscar Morén has returned to Pointsec's headquarters to head sales efforts of the company's wireless division.
