Pointsec appoints Maurizio Caltabiano Managing Director of the Italian subsidiary
The Swedish company enters Italian market
Milan, Italy – November 13, 2006 - Pointsec, specialists in mobile security, opens a subsidiary on the Italian market and appoints Maurizio Caltabiano Managing Director.
Maurizio Caltabiano will manage Pointsec development on the local market and will run sales activities as well as relationships with technological partners, customers and commercial network.
Pointsec, belonging to Protect Data AB group founded in 1988, has been created to provide great standards of mobile protection thanks to Pointsec owned encryption solutions.
Caltabiano has a 20 years experience on the Italian IT market: his career has started in Delphi, first Sun Microsystems distributor in Italy, then he has been European Brand Manager for Sun Microsystems in the US group Avnet. In 2000, Maurizio has been appointed Country Manager for GE Access Italia, and then Channel Sales Manager for Check Point Software Technologies. His latest professional experience was as Country Manager of SurfControl Italy.
