FloodGate-1

Authenticated QoS

FloodGate-1® Authenticated QoS provides Quality of Service (QoS) for end-users in dynamic IP environments, such as remote access and DHCP environments. This enables priority users, such as corporate CEOs, to receive priority service when remotely connecting to corporate resources.

How Does Authenticated QoS Work?
Authenticated QoS dynamically prioritizes end-users, based on information gathered during network or VPN authentication. The feature leverages Check Point UserAuthority technology to classify both inbound and outbound user connections. Two examples are briefly described below.

Remote access application - VPN-1® SecuRemote or VPN-1® SecureClient remote access users with dynamically assigned IP addresses are prioritized based upon information gathered during VPN authentication.

Site-to-site VPN users in DHCP environments are prioritized, based upon authentication information gathered during local network login. Authenticated QoS works with any DHCP server.

FloodGate-1 users do not need to purchase UserAuthority to enable Authenticated QoS. Authentication information can be propagated to multiple FloodGate-1 modules so that users receive priority at both ends of the tunnel.
