About NIST Computer Security Documents
FIPS is the official series of publications relating to standards and guidelines adopted under the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) of 2002. ITL Bulletins each present an in-depth discussion of one topic of significant interest to the information-systems community. The Special Publications 800 Series reports on ITL research, guidelines, and collaboration with industry, government, and academic organizations. NIST Interagency Reports include final results of work performed by NIST for outside government and nongovernment sponsors.
