  • You are a system administrator, security manager or network engineer implementing endpoint security policy to users across a corporate environment and want to earn the Check Point Endpoint Security Administrator (CCEPA) certification.
Check Point Endpoint Security is a unified approach to protecting endpoints from unauthorized and illicit access using Check Point’s wide range of security products.  Secure Access is the component of Endpoint Security that guards against endpoint misuse and threats such as spyware and virus attacks using Program Control, Firewall and Enforcement rules, and virtual private networking.  This course teaches you to configure and manage an Endpoint Security Client using the Endpoint Security Administration Console.

  • Considering recommended administrative workflow, install Check Point Endpoint Security Management Server on a Windows 2003 environment.
  • Configure firewall and program rules by selecting appropriate policy options in the Endpoint Security Management Server.
  • Configure Zone-based security detection options, define Zones and set security levels based on user activity and network compliance criteria.
  • Create and configure policies to deploy and assign to endpoints.
  • Configure spyware and virus protection to customize options and perform scans.
  • Enforce Endpoint Security using enforcement rules.
  • Implement Endpoint Security High Availability using both local and standalone SmartCenter Servers.
  • Configure the client and server-side VPN connection.
