The Check Point Specialist - IPS-1 course provides an introduction to the basic concepts and skills necessary to configure and manage Check Point IPS-1. During this course, students will install and configure IPS-1, and learn about managing IPS-1 to monitor network-intrusion alerts.
You will learn
- Identify current threats to network security.
- Define what an intrusion prevention system is.
- Describe the internal functions of Check Point IPS-1.
- Diagram appropriate IPS-1 architectures for different network requirements.
- Install and properly configure IPS-1 components.
- Monitor IPS-1 alerts to track and identify possible network intrusions.
- Configure IPS-1 Sensors and IPS-1 Power Sensors for optimum network protection.
- Identify and manage IPS-1 packages, back-ends, and policies.
- Generate IPS-1 alert reports and subreports.
