Day 1 and Day 2
Full Disk Encryption (formerly Pointsec PC 6.3 EW)
You will learn how to
- Define the role of users and administrators
- Install Pointsec PC
- Determine access levels for Pointsec PC users and create user profiles.
- Select the suitable authentication method
- Implement a Pointsec PC deployment for end-users.
- Install Pointsec PC on a user's machine to initiate encryption
- Perform basic profile maintenance procedures.
- Configure Service Accounts for handling recovery files, update profiles, and upgrade packages.
- Use the Local Event Database for monitoring and Pointsec PC auditing.
- Deploy an uninstall profile from client computers.
- Develop a plan for recovering encrypted information from a hard disk.
- Customize the pre-boot environment.
- Install and configure SmartCenter for Pointsec - WebRH for Web-based remote help.
- Manage Organization Units to control user access and permissions.
- Provide remote help to Pointsec clients using SmartCenter for Pointsec - WebRH.
Day 3 and Day 4
Media Encryption (formerly Pointsec Protector 4.9)
You will learn how to
- Install and configure Pointsec Protector Server.
- Deploy Pointsec Protector
- Use the Pointsec Protector Management Console.
- Create and apply profile templates using Device Manager, Removable Media Manager, Encryption Policy Manager, and Program Security Guard.
- Create and apply users, computers, and user and computer groups for Pointsec Protector
- Install and deploy Pointsec Protector Client.
- Initiate alerts for PSG, RMM and EPM.
- Add a new device using the Device Configuration
- Encrypt, decrypt and verify removable media using the Encryption Policy Manager.
- Use Pointsec Protector's internal logging and auditing functions to track and monitor user actions.
- Configure and execute reports based on Pointsec Protector's audit events using pre-configured reports.
