The Check Point Support Web site has been selected as one of "The Year's Ten Best Web Support Sites" by the Association of Support Professionals (ASP). The award is presented annually to companies that showcase excellence in online service and support. Check Point has devoted many resources into creating a smooth and effective Web Support experience for our customers. Release of Pointsec Protector 4.91 HFA1
Pointsec Protector 4.91 HFA1 is a version update of Check Point Endpoint Security Media Encryption (CPEP-MEPP) that includes patches and fixes as detailed below:

What's New: 

  • Correct issue "Not possible to burn/read encrypted CDs in "Read Only" or "No Access" modes with EPM wizard"
  • Correct issue "General CD burning process blocked on Pointsec Protector machine"
  • Correct issue "Pointsec Protector client DataScan blocks access to
    *.PPTX files"
  • IEEE 1394 (Firewire) ports can now be configured in the Pointsec Protector
    Administrator console to be blocked by the client machine.

Pointsec Protector can upgrade any version of Pointsec Protector after v4.51+.

New! Check Point Messaging Security Web Sub-Portal
Messaging Security from Check Point provides comprehensive protection for an organization's messaging infrastructure. The multi-dimensional approach protects the e-mail infrastructure, provides highly accurate spam protection, and defends organizations from a wide variety of virus and malware threats within e-mail. Messaging Security is available as part of Check Point UTM-1 Total Security offerings, including UTM-1 Total Security appliances and VPN-1 UTM Total Security software licenses. The new Messaging Security sub-portal provides useful information on the 6 dimensions of messaging security, and provides an interactive map of real-time international spam outbreaks.
