Backing Up the Router Configuration to a USB Flash Drive

The USB flash drive must have at least 64MB of free space.

Note: Some USB flash drives may not be supported by the router.

To backup the router configuration to a USB flash drive

  1. Connect a USB flash drive to one of your ZoneAlarm router's USB ports.

    For information on locating the USB ports, see Introduction.

  2. Click Setup in the main menu, and click the Tools tab.

    The Tools page appears.

  3. Click Backup/Restore.

    The Backup/Restore Wizard opens displaying the Step 1: Select Action dialog box.

  4. Click Backup this gateway to a storage device.
  5. Click Next.

    The ZoneAlarm router creates the folder <MACAddress> on the USB flash drive, where <MACAddress> is the router's MAC address, and writes the following files to this folder:

    The Step 2: Backup Complete screen appears.

  6. Click Finish.

    You can now restore the configuration from the USB flash drive as needed. See Restoring the Router Configuration from a USB Flash Drive.
