Restoring the Router Configuration from a USB Flash Drive

To restore the router configuration from a USB flash drive

  1. Connect a USB flash drive to one of your ZoneAlarm router's USB ports.

For information on locating the USB ports, see Introduction.

  2. Click Setup in the main menu, and click the Tools tab.

    The Tools page appears.

  3. Click Backup/Restore.

The Backup/Restore Wizard opens displaying the Step 1: Select Action dialog box.

  4. Click Restore this gateway from a storage device.
  5. Click Next.

The ZoneAlarm router is restored from the <MACAddress> folder on the USB flash drive, where <MACAddress> is the router's MAC address. This may take some time.

The Step 2: Restore Complete screen appears displaying the configuration file's content and the result of implementing each configuration command.

Note: If the router's IP address changed as a result of the configuration import, your computer may be disconnected from the network; therefore you may not be able to see the results.

  6. Click Finish.
