Implement procedures to restore any loss of data.

Check Point solutions, including VPN-1, InterSpect, Check Point Endpoint Security, and Connectra provide critical High Availability and clustering capabilities to mitigate risks from hardware failure. In addition, VPN-1 gateways enable an organization to utilize WAN connections from multiple Internet service providers (ISPs) to mitigate and recover from ISP disasters.

All Check Point gateways enable you to save and archive configuration data—including device configuration, user policies, and activity—on a regular basis. This information can be stored locally or remotely and used to restore configuration and service to Check Point products.

Check Point's management architecture allows users to deploy a second SmartCenter server for automatic failover in an emergency. The inactive server can be activated automatically without losing any data. The servers are synchronized in real time so that there is no data loss, affording continuous access to critical security policy and log data.
