Current Release Note Information on FloodGate-1

Installing FloodGate-1
FloodGate-1 must be installed using the integrated installation procedure only. If you attempt to install FloodGate-1 in any other way, the installation will fail.

Uninstalling FloodGate-1

  1. If FloodGate-1 was installed in stand-alone mode (without VPN-1/FireWall-1), then before uninstalling FloodGate-1, stop the ELA proxy (if it is running). See Uninstalling VPN-1/FireWall-1 for instructions on how to do this.
  2. Unix -- To uninstall FloodGate-1, use the following command:.
  3. # $FWDIR/bin/UninstallFG

  4. NT only -- If you have installed a stand-alone version of FloodGate-1 and then uninstalled it, you must also uninstall VPN-1/FireWall-1 from Control Panel/Add Remove Programs. This removes the VPN-1/FireWall-1 infrastructure which is installed as part of the stand-alone FloodGate-1 installation.

If you do not uninstall VPN-1/FireWall-1, then if you install the stand-alone version of FloodGate-1 again, the installation procedure will not ask whether you want to install the Management Module or the FloodGate Module, but will install only the Management Module.

Miscellaneous
  1. The minimum memory requirement for a FloodGate Module is 192 MB.
  2. Policies for VoIP (H-323) are prioritized according to the default rule. SP1 enables prioritization by specific rules.
  3. There is no Real Time Monitor on Solaris.
