Gil Shwed
Founder, and CEO
Gil Shwed is the founder and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Shwed is considered the inventor of the modern firewall and authored several patents, such as the company’s Stateful Inspection technology.
Mr. Shwed has received numerous accolades for his individual achievements and industry contributions, including the Israel Prize for his contributions to the Israeli tech industry and philanthropy, an honorary Doctor of Science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, an honorary Doctor of Science from Tel Aviv University, the World Economic Forum’s Global Leader for Tomorrow for his commitment to public affairs and leadership in areas beyond immediate professional interests, and the Academy of Achievement’s Golden Plate Award for his innovative contribution to business and technology. Mr. Shwed is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Youth University of Tel Aviv University, a Tel Aviv University Governor and founder of the University’s Check Point Institute for Information Security.
Mr. Shwed chairs the board of directors of Yeholot Association -- founded by the Rashi Foundation, the Yeholot Association’s charter focuses on, among other things, reducing Israel’s high school dropout rates.
Rupal Hollenbeck
President
Rupal Hollenbeck, President of Check Point, manages all go-to-market functions for the company. Ms. Hollenbeck joined the executive team as Chief Commercial Officer in March 2022. She previously served as a member of Check Point’s Board of Directors from January 2021 to March 2022.
Most recently, Ms. Hollenbeck was CMO of AI hardware start-up Cerebras Systems in Silicon Valley. She also served as Senior Vice President and CMO at Oracle. Prior to joining Oracle, she was with Intel Corporation for over 23 years, where she held many senior leadership positions, including Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Global Data Center Sales, and Vice President and General Manager of Intel China. Ms. Hollenbeck is an advocate for inclusive organizations and the development of women around the world, having led communities with these goals at her previous companies. She is a Founding Member of Neythri, a non-profit organization dedicated to the professional advancement of South Asian women, and is a Founding LP in the affiliated VC firm Neythri Futures Fund. Ms. Hollenbeck is also an Adjunct Professor and industry advisor at California State University East Bay, where she teaches a Women in Leadership course in the College of Business and Economics. She serves on the Board of Directors of Blackbaud, the world's leading cloud software company powering social good.
Ms. Hollenbeck holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Studies from Boston College.
Dr. Dorit Dor
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Dorit Dor, Chief Technology Officer at Check Point, spearheads Check Point’s rocket initiatives. Since joining the company in 1995, Dr. Dor has served in several pivotal roles in Check Point’s R&D organization over the years, including Chief Product Officer.
She has been instrumental to the organization’s growth and managed many successful product releases. Dr. Dor holds a Ph.D. and M.S degree in computer science from Tel-Aviv University, in addition to graduating cum laude for her Bachelor of Science degree. She has been published in several influential scientific journals for her research on graph decomposition, median selection and geometric pattern matching in d-dimensional space. In 2019, Forbes named Dr. Dor as one of Israel’s most powerful women and she is a member of the World Economic Forum Centre for Cybersecurity. In 1993, she won the Israel National Defense Prize.
Nataly Kremer
Chief Product Officer and Head of R&D
Nataly Kremer, Chief Product Officer and Head of Research and Development, oversees all product and technology units and uses her proficiency in delivering network, security, and cloud technologies for large enterprises to meet customer needs.
Ms. Kremer brings extensive R&D and leadership experience to Check Point. She joins the company after 12 years with AT&T, where she led its Software and Delivery organization and AT&T’s center in Israel. She holds an MBA and BSc in Computer Sciences and Management from Tel Aviv University.
Roei Golan
Acting Chief Financial Officer
Roei Golan, VP of Finance and Acting Chief Financial Officer, oversees Check Point's finance operations, including accounting, business analysis, investor relations, legal, tax and treasury.
Prior to joining Check Point in 2021, Mr. Golan worked at EY for 11 years, where he held the role of Managing Director in the Technology practice. Mr. Golan holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting and a M.B.A in finance management.
Mr. Golan is a certified public accountant.
Sharon Schusheim
VP Information Systems
Sharon Schusheim, CIO and VP Technical Services, joined Check Point in 2006. During his time here he has also served as VP Sales Operations and VP Technical Services. Prior to joining Check Point, Mr. Schusheim served as Corporate VP at Paradigm Geophysical, the largest independent developer of software-enabled solutions to the global oil and gas exploration and production industry. Before that. he worked at Scitex Corporation.
Mr. Schusheim holds a BsC, Industrial Engineering from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
Yiftah Yoffe
Chief HR Officer (CHRO)
Yiftah Yoffe, Chief HR Officer, oversees Check Point's global human resources domains and activities, with special attention on attracting and retaining talent around the world. Mr. Yoffe joined Check Point in 2013, handling various HR leadership roles before being promoted to his current role.
He began his storied career as an organizational consultant and a lecturer. Prior to joining Check Point, he led HR for such organizations as Deloitte and Amdocs.
Mr. Yoffe holds a BSc in Psychology and MSc in Organizational Behavior. He lives in Tel Aviv, married with two children and is an avid surfer.
Itai Greenberg
Chief Strategy Officer
Itai Greenberg, Chief Strategy Officer at Check Point, is responsible for the global company strategy, business development and M&A. Prior transitioning to his current role, Itai held the roles of VP Product Management and VP Product Marketing.
Mr. Greenberg joined Check Point in 2010, after serving as VP of Product and R&D at EyeClick and before he held key leadership roles at Microsoft in Windows Security and Mobile divisions. Mr. Greenberg holds a B.Sc. in Information Systems at the Ben-Gurion University.
Tal Payne
Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer On Sabbatical as of November 2022Tal Payne brings over 15 years of financial management experience, serving as Chief Financial Officer in Check Point since joining in 2008 and as Chief Financial and Operations Officer since 2015. Ms. Payne oversees Check Point's global operations and finance, including investor relations, legal, treasury, purchasing and facilities. Prior to joining Check Point, Ms. Payne served as Chief Financial Officer at Gilat Satellite Networks, Ltd., where she held the role of Vice President of Finance for over five years. Ms. Payne began her career as a CPA in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ms. Payne holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting and an Executive M.B.A., both from Tel Aviv University. Ms. Payne is a certified public accountant.

Jerry Ungerman
Chairman, Board of DirectorsJerry Ungerman has served as Chairman of the board of directors since 2020. Prior to this appointment he was Vice Chairman of our board of directors from 2005 to 2020. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Ungerman served as our President and before that, from 1998 until 2000, he served as an Executive Vice President. Prior to joining us, Mr. Ungerman accumulated more than 30 years of high-tech sales, marketing and management experience at Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), a data storage company and a member of the Hitachi, Ltd. group. He began his career with International Business Machines Corp. (IBM), a global technology products and services company, after earning a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
Yoav Chelouche
Managing Partner Aviv Venture CapitalYoav Chelouche has served on our board of directors since 2006. Mr. Chelouche has also served as one of our outside directors under the Israeli Companies Law since 2006. Mr. Chelouche has been Managing Partner of Aviv Venture Capital since August 2000. Prior to joining Aviv Venture Capital, Mr. Chelouche served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Scitex Corp., a world leader in digital imaging and printing systems, from December 1994 until July 2000. From August 1979 until December 1994, Mr. Chelouche held various managerial positions with Scitex, including VP Strategy and Business Development, VP Marketing and VP Finance for Europe. Mr. Chelouche is the Chairman of the Board of Rosetta Genomics Ltd., and a member of the board of directors of a number of private companies. He is also Chairman of Taasiyeda, an Israeli nonprofit organization that promotes the development of leadership and technology skills in children. Mr. Chelouche earned a B.A. in Economics and Statistics from Tel Aviv University, and a M.B.A. from INSEAD University in Fontainebleau, France.
Guy Gecht
Lead Independent DirectorMr. Gecht has served on our Board of Directors and as one of our outside directors under the Israeli Companies Law since 2006. Mr. Gecht has served as our lead independent director since 2020. Mr. Gecht is currently the Co-Chief Executive Officer of E.Merge Technology Acquisition Corp., a “blank check” company formed for the purpose of effecting a business combination with a software or internet technology company. Prior to co-founding E.Merge in June 2020, Mr. Gecht was the chief executive officer of Electronics for Imaging, Inc. (EFI), an international company specializing in digital printing technology, a position that he held from 2000 to 2018. Mr. Gecht joined EFI in 1995, also holding positions as president, vice president and general manager of Fiery products. Prior to joining EFI, Mr. Gecht held management positions at Interro Systems and Apple Israel. Mr. Gecht was also an officer in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), managing an engineering development team and then later serving as an acting manager of one of the IDF's high-tech divisions. Mr. Gecht serves on the board of directors of Logitech International. Mr. Gecht holds a BS degree in computer science and mathematics from Ben Gurion University in Israel.
Ray Rothrock
Chairman and CEO RedSeal NetworksRay Rothrock has served on our board of directors since 1995. Mr. Rothrock has also served as one of our outside directors under the Israeli Companies Law since 2000. Presently, Mr. Rothrock is the chairman and CEO of RedSeal Networks in Santa Clara, California. In 2013, Mr. Rothrock retired from Venrock, a venture capital firm he joined in 1988 and where he was a General Partner since 1995. He is also a director of a number of private companies. Mr. Rothrock received a B.S. in Engineering from Texas A&M University, an M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
Dr. Tal Shavit
Organizational ConsultantDr. Tal Shavit has served on our board of directors since 2000. Dr. Shavit is an organizational consultant specializing in international collaboration between Israeli and American companies, consulting in the management of cultural differences in order to forge effective collaboration. Her work with leading management teams includes the definition of organizational culture as the engine of the company’s activities. She consults with companies undergoing structural change with emphasis on organizational growth through effective mergers and acquisitions and a redefining of management roles in order to meet market changes.
Shai Weiss
CEO, Virgin Atlantic LimitedShai Weiss has served on our board of directors since 2018. Recently, Mr. Weiss is the Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Atlantic Limited and has served as an Executive Director on its board since 2012. Mr. Weiss has also served as Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Commercial Officer in 2017 and Chief Financial Officer in 2014, when he joined from Virgin Management Limited where he was an Investment Partner since 2012 and a Founding Partner of Virgin Green Fund. Prior to joining Virgin Group, he held several senior management positions at ntl:Telewest (now Virgin Media), the UK and Europe’s largest cable operator, including Managing Director of Consumer Products, Director of Operations, and Director of Financial Planning for the Consumer division. Mr. Weiss holds an MBA from Columbia University in New York and a BBA from City University of New York, Baruch College.
