Who is Vulnerable? PHP Group PHP prior to 5.3.9
Vulnerability Description An integer overflow vulnerability has been reported in PHP.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to lack of EXIF data validation. A Remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by uploading a specially crafted image to the target server. Successful exploitation could result in sensitive information disclosure or a denial of service condition.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the PHP Exif Header Parsing Integer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
