PHP Group PHP 5.3.8 and prior
Vulnerability Description A memory corruption vulnerability has been reported in PHP.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to improper handling of an error condition. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious request to the target service. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to inject and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

This protection will detect and block malicious requests.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the PHP php_register_variable_ex Function Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
