Who is Vulnerable?	HP Data Protector Media Operations 6.20 and prior
Vulnerability Description	An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in HP Data Protector Media Operations server.
Vulnerability Details	The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of incoming requests by the Media Operations server. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by sending a crafted request containing a malicious path field to the target. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to download arbitrary files from the drive on which the affected product is installed.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block the transferring of malicious requests.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the HP Data Protector Media Operations Directory Traversal protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all modules.
