Who is Vulnerable? Apache Software Foundation Struts 2 prior to 2.3.14.3
Vulnerability Description A code execution vulnerability exists in Apache Struts OGNL.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to the way OGNL expressions encoded in a URI to be evaluated bypassing both Struts and OGNL. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests to a server. Successful exploitation will allow an attacker to execute arbitrary OGNL code.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Apache Struts Wildcard Matching OGNL Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
