Who is Vulnerable? IBM Cognos Express 9.5
Vulnerability Description Multiple stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities have been reported in IBM Cognos TM1 Admin Server.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to insufficient length and data validation. A remote attacker could cause a denial of service, potentially causing arbitrary code to be injected and executed in the security context of the current user.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the IBM Cognos tm1admsd.exe Buffer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
