Oracle Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 7 Update 21 and before
Vulnerability Description A spoofing vulnerability has been reported in Oracle Java SE.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to improper use of Canonicalization algorithm while validating the signature of a specially crafted XML file. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to modify the content of an XML file without invalidating the signature associated with the file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would allow the attacker to abuse the trust between the target and a third party.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Oracle Java SE XML Digital Signature Spoofing protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
