    Vulnerability Description An integer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player.
    Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to an error in Adobe Flash Player when resampling a user-supplied PCM buffer. A remote attacker might exploit this issue by convincing a victim to open a specially crafted SWF file. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

    Protection Overview

    This protection detects and blocks the transferring of malformed SWF files over HTTP.

    In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

    Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

    1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Adobe Flash Player PCM Buffer Integer Overflow (APSB13-17) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
    2. Install policy on all modules.
