IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.3 prior to Fixpack 5
Vulnerability Description A buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in IBM iNotes.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to an integer overflow within an ActiveX control. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a target user to view crafted web content. A successful exploitation attempt may result in the execution of arbitrary code in the security context of the target user's browser.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the IBM iNotes ActiveX Control Integer Overflow protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
