Who is Vulnerable? Adobe Reader 7 and Acrobat 7 before 7.1.3, Adobe Reader 8 and Acrobat 8 before 8.1.6, and Adobe Reader 9 and Acrobat 9 before 9.1.2
Vulnerability Description A heap corruption vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Reader and Acrobat.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to an insufficient validation of tags and flags in embedded JBIG2 images in PDF files. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to open a specially crafted PDF file with an embedded JBIG2 image.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Adobe Reader And Acrobat PDF JBIG2 Stream Heap Memory Corruption protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
