Vulnerability Description A memory exhaustion vulnerability has been reported in Samba server.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to an infinite loop allocating memory that occurs when processing specially crafted packets. A remote authenticated or guest attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted requests to the target server. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability results in a denial of service condition.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Samba smbd read_nttrans_ea_list Infinite Allocation Loop Denial of Service protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
