Who is Vulnerable?
Vulnerability Description A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been reported in SharePoint 2010. The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user input to the calendar object by an affected SharePoint server. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing unsuspecting users to open a specially crafted website. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would allow a remote attacker to inject arbitrary web script or HTML into the affected system.

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. On the IPS tab, click Protections, find the protection using the search tool and edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.

On SmartView Tracker:

  1. Click on IPS Blade > All.
  2. Filter the logs by the Protection name
