Who is Vulnerable?
Vulnerability Description Cheat Monitor is a spyware program that can be used to record information on the computer. Cheat Monitor tracks emails, chats, instant messages, and every keystroke that is entered by the victim. It can also capture screenshots of the infected system and deliver reports to a pre-defined email address at a specific time interval without user's consent.

Protection Overview

By enabling this protection, IPS will detect and block the malware based on predefined signatures.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R77 / R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the KeyLogger: Cheat Monitor protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:

Attack Name:  Malware Traffic.
Attack Information:  KeyLogger: Cheat Monitor
