Who is Vulnerable? Oracle Business Transaction Management 12.1.0.2.7 and prior
Vulnerability Description A directory traversal vulnerability has been reported in Oracle Business Transaction Management Server.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user input while processing SOAP requests sent to the vulnerable web service. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted SOAP request to the target. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to delete arbitrary files from the target server, leading to a denial of service condition.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Oracle Business Transaction Management Arbitrary File Deletion protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
