|Who is Vulnerable?|
|Vulnerability Description||A stack buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in Novell ZENworks Configuration Management. The vulnerability is due to a stack buffer overflow in the PreBoot service when processing certain requests. A remote attacker may exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted request to an affected server. Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target server.|
This protection will detect and block the transferring of specially crafted requests.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
