Vulnerability Description An information disclosure vulnerability has been reported in the way that Internet Explorer handles certain request headers.

Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to an error in Internet Explorer that incorrectly parses a specially crafted request header, allowing a violation of the same origin policy. To trigger this issue, an attacker may create a malicious web page and persuade a user to view it. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will allow an attacker to view the content in another browser window in another domain or Internet Explorer zone.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Internet Explorer Malformed Request Header Information Disclosure protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
