Who is Vulnerable? SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1 and prior
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP2 and prior
Vulnerability Description A denial of service vulnerability has been reported in SAP NetWeaver's Dispatcher service.
Vulnerability DetailsThe vulnerability is due to insufficient validation while parsing specially crafted incoming requests. A remote attacker can exploit this issue by sending specially crafted requests to the target. Successful exploitation would cause the server to become unresponsive, resulting in a denial of service condition.

Protection Overview

This protection will detect and block the transferring of specially requests.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the SAP NetWeaver DiagiEventSource Denial of Service protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all modules.
