Who is Vulnerable? Oracle MySQL 5.5.28 and prior
Vulnerability Description A heap buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported in MySQL database server. The vulnerability is due to an error while parsing the DELETE command. A remote authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending a malicious DELETE command to the affected service. In an attack scenario where code execution is successful, the injected code will be executed within the security context of the service. An unsuccessful exploitation attempt would cause the database service to terminate abnormally.
