Vulnerability Description	There exists a denial of service vulnerability in CA ARCserve Backup Discovery service.
Vulnerability Details	The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation by the Discovery service. A remote unauthenticated attacker may exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted message to the target server. Successful attack could create a denial of service condition to the Discovery service.

This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your product to the latest update. For information on how to update , go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R75 / R71 / R70

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the CA BrightStor ARCserve Backup Discovery Service Buffer Over-Read protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all modules.
