Who is Vulnerable? phpMyAdmin 4.0.x before 4.0.10.16
phpMyAdmin 4.4.x before 4.4.15.7
phpMyAdmin 4.6.x before 4.6.3
Vulnerability Description A remote code execution vulnerability exists in PHPMyAdmin. The vulnerability is caused due to incorrect choosing of delimiters to prevent use of the preg_replace function. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability will allow execution of arbitrary PHP code.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Web Servers PHPMyAdmin Remote Code Execution protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:
