Who is Vulnerable? TP-Link TL-R600VPN HWv3 FRNv1.3.0 TP-Link TL-R600VPN HWv2 FRNv1.2.3
Vulnerability Description An exploitable remote code execution vulnerability exists in TP-Link TL-R600VPN http server. A specially crafted IP address can cause a stack overflow, resulting in remote code execution. An attacker can send a single authenticated HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R80 / R77 / R75

  1. In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the TP-Link HTTP server ping address remote code execution (CVE-2018-3950) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
  2. Install policy on all Security Gateways.
