Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), a leading provider of cyber security solutions globally, today announced that it has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) “In Process” status for FedRAMP Moderate. The milestone marks an important step toward expanding the company’s ability to serve U.S. government agencies.
FedRAMP is widely recognized as one of the most robust and demanding security regulations. FedRAMP In Process status signifies the addition of Check Point’s SandBlast Next Generation Threat Emulation and SandBlast Mobile offerings to the FedRAMP marketplace, which are certified solutions for Federal, State and Local Governments, as well as Healthcare and Financial verticals.
“Check Point’s FedRAMP milestone significantly improves our value proposition to U.S government agencies,” said Chris Scanlan, President, Americas Sales at Check Point Software Technologies. “U.S government agencies can now choose Check Point’s SandBlast, which includes network, agent and mobile, to protect their networks and employee smartphones and computers from the most sophisticated Gen V cyber-threats. This allows government agencies to interact with citizens efficiently and securely.”
FedRAMP ensures a more streamlined procurement process by standardizing security requirements across federal agencies. The rigor of the program is intended to allow agencies to choose authorized cloud solutions with confidence and more quickly adopt new technologies that meet various levels of security requirements and certification levels. All FedRAMP Authorized, In Process, and Ready certified solutions are listed on the marketplace.
Check Point is working with Coalfire, a leading cyber security assessment and advisory company, on their FedRAMP advisory needs.
