Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), a leading provider of cyber security solutions globally, today announced that its market-leading SandBlast Mobile threat defense solution has won this year’s Frost & Sullivan Frost Radar Best Practices Award for Growth, Innovation and Leadership (GIL) in the European Mobile Threat Defense Market (MTD).
The Frost Radar Award recognizes the competitive positioning of MTD solutions in Europe, and highlighted Check Point’s ‘remarkable Growth and Innovation scores.’ The report stated that: “Apart from being committed to continuously bettering its product portfolio, Check Point successfully carries out its expansion strategy in the European market.”
The Frost Radar report states that there is an overdue need for organizations to secure their mobile endpoints, as they rely on them for access to corporate networks and processing sensitive data. But unlike traditional endpoints, mobile devices are often left unprotected and so are targeted by threat actors as the starting point for breaching networks and data. Check Point’s 2020 Cyber Security Report showed that 27% of organizations worldwide were impacted by cyber-attacks involving mobiles in 2019, and 34% were hit by mobile malware. This highlights the need for strong security on both corporate-owned and BYOD mobiles.
“We are very pleased to be recognized by Frost & Sullivan as one of the vendors at the forefront of innovation in Mobile Threat Defense. This award validates our focus on threat prevention, blocking even advanced zero-day threats before they can compromise the device and their associated networks,” said Itai Greenberg, Vice President, Product Management and Product Marketing, Check Point Software Technologies. “SandBlast Mobile offers organizations the most advanced, holistic security protection across their mobile devices, delivering ease of use and full risk visibility, while ensuring high device performance and low total cost of ownership.”
“Check Point SandBlast Mobile delivers the most advanced security vision and innovation in preventing mobile threats, with a market-leading mobile threat defense solution that allows us to increase the security posture of our business and that of our clients exposed to loss of sensitive information,” said Pablo Alarcón Padellano, Head of Alliances and Partnerships at ElevenPaths, Telefónica Cyber Security Unit, a long time Check Point mobility customer and a Mobile Threat Prevention Partner and Mobility Technology Partner.
The Frost Radar Best Practices Awards are reserved for companies that are market leaders and are at the forefront of innovation. These companies consolidate or grow their leadership position by continuously innovating and creating new products and solutions that serve evolving customer needs. These companies are also best positioned to expand the market by strategically broadening their product range.
SandBlast Mobile keeps business assets and sensitive data on mobile devices safe from cyber-attacks through extensive threat detection and mitigation. Its unique, on-device network protection technology includes various features such as anti-phishing, safe browsing, anti-bot and conditional access capabilities. This goes beyond traditional endpoint and mobile device management products, to deliver real-time protection against advanced threats which target and propagate across mobiles.
