Challenge In early 2021, Al-Futtaim Group reassessed their drive toward cloud adoption and decided to retain certain critical infrastructure and applications on-premises. Combining on-premises data centers with assets and workloads across multiple cloud platforms enables employees to conduct business without friction. However, managing an ever-growing hybrid infrastructure had become challenging. Rapid business growth increased the need to segment the network and secure each segment.

We needed a better way to accommodate today’s growth and scale for future expansion without having to frequently rip and replace our investments.” To better support the conglomerate’s defense in-depth strategy, the IT team needed to consolidate its security infrastructure, reduce complexity, improve scalability and expand next-generation threat prevention beyond the perimeter to core infrastructure.
Solution Based on positive experiences with Check Point solutions in the past, the Al-Futtaim Group team once again chose to partner with Check Point. They upgraded their existing firewalls to Check Point Firewall with a unified management platform for next-generation threat prevention — boosting protection from the most sophisticated cyber-attacks.
Check Point Maestro Hyperscale Firewall brings the scale, agility and elasticity of the cloud to existing gateways. Maestro enables on-demand scale — expanding each gateway’s capacity to that of 52 gateways and supporting millions of connections. The team manages multiple firewalls in a security group or firewall cluster as one firewall object, greatly simplifying provisioning and policy management.
