Why Private Access?
Check Point SASE Private Access helps organizations manage network access for on-premises and remote employees while reducing the maintenance and scaling issues with legacy alternatives. Private Access is built on ZTNA principles, meaning that each user only has access to the resources they need, and that this access depends on identity and context (such as IP range, time of day, and more).
Private Access integrates several technologies including Identity Provider-based authentication, policy- based network segmentation, encrypted tunneling, and real-time monitoring of device security posture and network activity.

1. Policy Rules
Within the Check Point SASE platform you can quickly segment your users into groups and create policies that define which of your connected resources (on-prem servers or apps, public cloud apps, etc.) are accessible to specific groups.
Using firewall rules, IT teams can control how traffic flows within the network between objects including users, groups, services, and addresses, while Device Posture Check disallows access for endpoints that don’t meet security parameters like certificates, endpoint security software, disk encryption and more.
Private Access also supports agentless, browser-based connections for application-specific access. Agentless access allows organizations to give third party contractors access to specific applications without exposing the entire corporate network, while controlling and monitoring access with rules based on identity, time, location, and other relevant details.

2. Monitoring and Logging
Check Point SASE includes network activity monitoring and logging so you can easily track user actions. Administrators can view logs of network activity such as logins, gateway deployments, app access, connected device inventory and more, and can integrate a variety of SIEM services including Amazon S3, Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel for more in-depth reporting and analysis.
3. Identity Providers (IdP)
IdP acts as the foundation for security authentication that can be applied to users and groups. Check Point SASE’s integration with Identity Providers, such as Google, Entra ID, Okta, and multiple SAML 2.0 solutions like OneLogin and JumpCloud, allow organizations to offer seamless network access to employees via Single Sign- On, and grant them specific privileges or limited access that suits their individual role, device, or location.

4. Global Private Backbone for Fast Remote Access
Our global private backbone with more than 85 Points of Presence worldwide offers organizations the ability to connect employees over a high-performance network to company resources. With support for multiple major encryption protocols including IPSec, OpenVPN and WireGuard, organizations can keep connections private in the way that works best for their network infrastructure.
ZTNA versus a Legacy VPN
Organizations can ensure that employees’ connections to corporate resources are private and secure with ZTNA. The ZTNA security model improves upon legacy approaches with seamless deployment and management for IT teams, at any scale. With Check Point SASE’s ZTNA, IT teams benefit from better encryption over faster connections and can implement security that helps them visualize and control the entire network from a single platform. Enforce device posture, limit resource access by user and group, orchestrate traffic between network addresses and objects, and monitor activity to ensure everything is working as intended with Check Point SASE.
