• Maintain long-term credential value through ISACA’s continuing education model of 20 CPE hours annually and 120 CPE hours over a three-year reporting period.

Prerequisites • Exam eligibility: The CISA exam is open to anyone who has an interest in

information security.

• Certification eligibility (after passing): A minimum of five (5) years of professional information systems auditing, control, or security work experience is required for certification. Candidates have five years from the exam pass date to apply, and the experience must be gained within the 10-year period preceding the application date.

• Waivers and substitutions: ISACA allows optional experience waivers for qualifying education and certain credentials, as defined in the official CISA certification requirements.
