Prerequisites Although there are no prerequisites for CompTIA PenTest+, CompTIA recommends a minimum of three-to-four years of hands-on information security or related experience before taking the PenTest+ exam. CompTIA PenTest+ is intended to follow CompTIA Security+ or equivalent experience and has a technical, hands-on focus. Accessing the self- paced training requires redeeming a CompTIA access key; once redeemed, learners have 12 months of course access.
