A Global Collegiate Cyber Security Competition

Event Overview

With the cyber world becoming ever more complex and universal, demand is growing for competent professionals to keep the cloud, and our personal data, safe from heinous hackers. To introduce students to the possibilities of such cyber-security work, Check Point Software Technologies will host its’ first annual collegiate “Cyber Range” event on October 31, 2019. We invite all institutions of higher learning to register and compete in the competition.

Designed as a beginner-level, this competition requires players to integrate concepts, develop skills, and think “out-of-the-box” while learning to use Check Point product and technologies to combat attacks. This challenge will mimic real-world scenarios to solve real life problems. To succeed, teams must demonstrate a profound understanding of the roles and ramifications of cyber security. The challenge will cover the basics of:

  • Buffer Overflow
  • Reversing
  • Brute Force Attacks
  • Fuzzing

The top three (3) teams will receive prizes and awards!

Participation Timeline

Sept 23:
Registration opens

Sept 23-Oct 25: Enrollment and team verification period

Oct 28: Registration closes

Oct 28-30: Final registration/competition information provided

Oct 31: “Cyber Range” event begins

Nov 1: Winners announced
