What is E-Rate?

The U.S. Federal Schools and Libraries Program of the Universal Service Fund, or E-Rate, offers qualified schools and libraries internet, telecommunications, and other critical technology services at zero or reduced costs. The goal is to ensure educational institutions across the U.S. are connected to information and resources through the internet.

With the escalation of cyber-attacks on schools, keeping students, faculty, and administration staff safe from the breach of sensitive information is a primary concern. At Check Point, our Public Sector team collaborates with you to provide the security that can protect everyone in today’s digital learning environment. This is a direct alignment to the Federal Communication Commission’s aim towards modernizing the E-Rate Program for Schools and Libraries and part of the K-12 Cybersecurity Act of 2021 enacted on October 8, 2021, by Congress to address specific risks that impact K-12 educational institutions.

Check Point offers many E-Rate eligible solutions to help K-12 educational institutions protect students, faculty, and staff. Learn more about Check Point and our support of the E-Rate program here.
